VOTE FOR EXPERIENCE, VOTE FOR DENISE FERRERO
ALACHUA COUNTY COURT JUDGE, GROUP 2

Denise began her legal career in the State Attorney’s office in 1992 as a certified legal intern working her way up to the role of Division Chief for crimes involving women and children. As a prosecutor Denise had the pleasure of working with police and other first responders, teachers, doctors, nurses, and other civic leaders in an effort to make our communities safer. Denise successfully prosecuted and tried numerous cases in front of a jury including Petit Theft, DUI, Battery, Sexual Battery, Manslaughter and Murder.
After spending over 9 years with the State Attorney’s office, Denise ventured into private practice. Although Denise always considered a judgeship, she felt it important to have a diversity of experience. While working with Avera & Avera, LLP Denise was privileged to work a wide variety of cases and to represent citizens in all Alachua County courts.
Denise also earned the trust of our Judiciary; in 2005 she was appointed by our Chief Judge to preside over civil infraction cases as a Traffic Court Hearing Officer. Since taking the bench, Denise presided over thousands of County Court Cases* and is now prepared to become a County Court Judge. Denise is the ONLY candidate that has experience DECIDING cases.
