VOTE FOR EXPERIENCE, VOTE FOR DENISE FERRERO
ALACHUA COUNTY COURT JUDGE, GROUP 2

"I RECOMMEND FERRERO FOR JUDGE
Denise Ferrero is a very capable and highly experienced lawyer and she has extensive trial experience. It is important for judges to have patience and a strong sense of fairness, and it is also very helpful for a judicial candidate to have background that includes civil and criminal practice. Ferrero has all of the above, in addition to long hours spent working with law students and involvement in other community programs. As a 20-plus year member of our local bar, I have had numerous opportunities to work with and observe Ferrero, and we were often on opposite sides of the courtroom. I recommend her highly as our next county court Judge."

Gainesville Sun Online, Voice of the Voters for October 27, 2008

"I support Denise Ferrero because she is the best prepared candidate by experience and temperament to be our next County Court judge."
                        - Bill Cervone, State Attorney, Eighth Judicial Circuit

"Denise would be a tremendous asset to the County Court Bench. Her integrity, compassion, honesty and regard to people is beyond reproach. She is what a public servant should be like. I've been blessed to have had the good fortune to know her."
                        - Connie Aguilera, Owner, Simply Gorgeous Gifts

"As a law enforcment officer, I have witnessed Denise's courtroom demeanor as well as her efficiency and fairness. Although not every one of the cases she presided over as Traffic Court Hearing Officer turned out in my favor, there is no doubt she conducted herself in a professional, expedient and fair manner. Denise Ferrero is by far the most qualified, proficient and unbiased choice for Alachua County Judge!"
                        - Brandon Kutner, Florida Police Benevolent Association

"Denise Ferrero's extensive legal experience make her an ideal candidate for County Court Judge. Denise's career has led her to County Court, "The People's Court," as Denise has served the public throughout her career. It is crucial that we elect a County Court Judge whose service will enhance the public's confidence in our legal system. Denise is the candidate who possesses not only the legal experience but also the integrity, intellect and professionalism that will make her an excellent County Court Judge. "
                        - Mary K. & Gary Wimsett (Attorneys)

"Her experience as both a prosecutor, a civil and criminal defense attorney in private practice and a hearing officer (deciding thousands of cases)* make her uniquely qualified to assume the judicial position. We both know her on a personal level and can attest that her values as a citizen, friend, mother, (of the most adorable twins, Henry and Patrick), and wife (of Dan), are balanced with a rare combination of integrity, love, and commitment."
                        - Steve and Teresa Drake Pennypacker

"Knowing the value of good judges on the bench and realizing that most people aren’t involved with the court system as I have been for the past 23 years, I want to briefly introduce Denise—who has been both a professional colleague and friend for years.

Denise understands the needs of county court, both now and in the future. I strongly believe that Denise would be a tremendous asset to the county court bench. Her experience as both a prosecutor for nine years, a civil and criminal defense attorney in private practice, and a hearing officer (deciding thousands of cases)* make her uniquely qualified to assume the judicial position. Denise's advocacy for women and children, both in her role as Division Chief at the State Attorney's Office Crimes Against Women and Families and her role as a dedicated board member for both the Guardian as Litem Foundation and the Child Advocacy Center shows that she understands the needs of those that are too often unprotected. I also know Denise on a personal level and can attest that her values ... are balanced with a rare combination of integrity, fairness, accessibility, and commitment... Denise has the greatest amount and range of experience and character, and those are the most critical factors to consider in this election."
                        - Gretchen Howard

"I had the pleasure of working with Denise Ferrero while serving as an Assistant State Attorney in Gainesville from 1993 to 2001 and have maintained a friendship with her since.

During the last 15 years I have observed Denise in a multitude of professional and personal situations. Her character, honesty and truthfulness are beyond reproach. Her professional and personal conduct have demonstrated consistent adherence to the highest standards of ethical conduct and high moral values.

Denise is uniquely qualified to serve as an Alachua County Court Judge having served as an Assistant State Attorney, a Civil Trial Attorney and a Traffic Court Hearing officer. Denise presided over approximately 10,000 traffic cases as a Hearing Officer and is the only candidate with this invaluable experience.

Denise has maintained a commitment to public service and community through her active participation in the Guardian Ad Litem Program, The Child Advocacy Center and the local Bar Association. Denise possesses a rare work ethic that results in commitment beyond mere participation.

Her breadth of experience and unwavering commitment to her profession and her community make Denise Ferrero a solid choice for the position of Alachua County Court Judge. "
                        - Susanne Wilson Bullard

"Since I'm a lawyer several people have asked me whom I support for Alachua County Court Judge in Group 2. I'm supporting Denise Ferrero.

Judge, is a hard office to run for because ethics rules preclude the candidates from speaking about substantive issues; so it's clear they have not prejudged any decision that might come before them.

But, I can say when I was practicing, as a criminal defense attorney Denise was a prosecutor, and she was a very good one. She worked hard and if she told you something you could rely on it being true. I found she made decisions based on facts and not politics.

She has both criminal & civil experience. She has been a hearing officer in traffic court so she has experience that is very similar to that of a judge's. She was President of our local Bar Association. She's been involved with Jr. League, Guardian Ad Litems, and worked for victims’ rights.

If you have any other questions you can call or email me or you can view her website at www.deniseferrero.com

I've known Denise Ferrero for her entire professional career, I know she is what a Judge should be - honest, fair and compassionate. Denise is an attorney with a vast array of experience and her integrity is beyond reproach. Please join my family and vote for Denise on November 4
                        -DeeDee Cain Smith

Denise Ferrero is experienced, patient, and extremely bright. She cared a great deal about justice as a practicing attorney, and she will focus on justice as a judge. She will be a great public servant.
